Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! Here's a little video we've been working on. I must admit we would prefer to polish it a bit more but decided that we didn't want to keep you waiting too long. So enjoy!

After we did our gift giving this morning we went outside to put the final touches on the chicken coop (it needed a perch and we had to enclose one side of the run still) because our chookies have been lovingly cared for by our friends Gaz and Di for the last couple months and we head to their place for Christmas dinner tonight so will likely come home with chickens. This is going to be an interesting learning curve for us.

But yes, I managed to get our Christmas letter sorted and sent out just in time for Christmas too. And we even watched Home Alone this year which we missed last year.

We have some food to prepare but you are in our thoughts today and tomorrow as we celebrate and then you celebrate the holidays!

    Barry and Fran like this...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas Bureau 1910 families in 2013. Blog/video looks like a copy of the movie "Its a Wonderful Life". Where's the chooks?You always put a smile on everyone when they see you--its a wonderful quality so few have.

Some photos from the game on Saturday afternoon. The wind caused a few wayward kicks and the torrential downpour mid-game made the ball slip all over the place but then the sun came out and Taranaki won! They were playing Canterbury who are now behind them by one place in the rankings. We had fun and managed to walk there and back without catching any of the rain. The steam-breathing drivable mascot I don't think the photo does justice to just how much it was raining! Line out Go the 'Naki! (They are the yellow and black team.)

Not for the squeamish

Well the long hours of work and planning and helping friends demo sheds and paper shuffling and biking and cooking and eating and cleaning have caught up with us and Dustin has relinquished his right to tell his story from last week. **Note, the pictures are gross so beware if you are a little faint seeing blood... So, last Friday I had worked the early shift and was back at home on a call with a virtual assisting client, so naturally my mobile was on silent, and as soon as I hung up, the home phone rang.
