Knitfest!

One day last month, I got a big parcel in the mail full of beautiful hand-knitted dish cloths and towels! My mom does an amazing job with her knitting. And excellent colour choices ;) We've been using them and they are working great. I would love to be able to knit as well as her!

When Porter Was Bored

It turns out that when Porter is left too long he makes his own fun. That fun included eating DVDs this week! Dustin had a big concrete pour at work and I was at a marketing session that ran late so nobody was home until just about 6pm when he's used to someone being home by 4pm. I got home to this surprise of a mess. He had actually chewed the layers apart on one DVD, I didn't even know that could happen. I couldn't get mad at him though, he's too cute and he wasn't actually still chewing them.

The 32nd

We have had a couple fun weekends lately - aside from both getting two colds in a row and battling the sniffles for nearly a month! Even though Dustin was home sick on his actual birthday, we had a low key celebration the Saturday after. One of our favourite comics was in town so we managed to grab some tickets (thank goodness they added a third show!) and went out for some laughs then came back to our place for chili and cornbread and peanut butter cheesecake. The third show happened to be at 5pm so that worked well. We thought it might be weird so early but it worked well - their were less hecklers on account of less drunks haha! Then after a week of fighting more colds, we got out for some kareoke! (That was for my birthday, just in case you weren't sure.) One of the regular bar-goers invited me to sing Love Shack with him so we closed out the evening with that.  It was quite classic because the first time we traveled through New Zealand we heard that song everywhere!
